The President of India, is the Head of the Republic of India and also Knowns as the commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces. He is the first citizen of the Republic of India. He is the constitutional head of the parliamentary system of the Indian Government. He represents the Republic of India but does not rule on it. The real power is in the hands of the council of ministers. The President of India is elected by the electoral college of Elected members of both houses Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Parliament, Elected members of state legislatures and elected members of the legislative assemblies of the Delhi and Puducherry.
